Pizza Patrón Launches “La Lonchera” Lunch Combo in San Antonio

The leading Mexican pizza brand rolls personal pan pizzas

 

SAN ANTONIO – May 11, 2015 – Pizza Patrón wants customers to stop by for lunch. In order to entice lunch-goers, Pizza Patrón is testing out its La Lonchera lunch combo in San Antonio.

 

The La Lonchera combo includes a Pepperoni, Cheese, or Patrona (Supreme) personal-sized deep-dish pie along with a 20 oz. Pepsi product for only $4.99. The “La Lonchera” promotion will run between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The testing begins May 11 and is slated to run through the end of August 2015.

 

The company currently features this product at La Gran Plaza in Fort Worth and at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Company executives say that the product has been well received by guests in its special outlets and hope to duplicate that success in its restaurants.

 

“When we launched our personal deep-dish product at the American Airlines Center, we nearly doubled the sales of the previous national pizza vendor,” said Andrew Gamm, executive vice president of Pizza Patrón. “Our product is very craveable, and the personal size is a convenient fit for lunch goers who are in a hurry.”

 

The company said it is beefing up its lunch offerings in an effort to boost traffic and increase sales during its slowest day part.

 

“Lunch has always been a challenge for us because pizza is typically a group experience. By offering an individual portion and fast service, we believe that we can compete with all of the other quick service concepts out there,” said Gamm.

Pizza Patrón’s $3.99 Lunch Deal Sizzles

DALLAS – May 8, 2015 – For less than the price of a fast food burger or sub sandwich, customers can get a large pepperoni pizza from Pizza Patrón every week day during lunch. Beginning Monday, May 4th, the chain will roll out $3.99 large pepperoni lunch pizzas for a limited time.

 

The sizzling hot lunch promotion runs May 4 through August. The special features a large pepperoni pizza for only $3.99 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. every Monday through Friday at all participating locations during the promotional period.

 

“We already know this promotion will be very popular with our customers based on the results of our market testing,” said Andrew Gamm, executive vice president for Pizza Patrón. “One thing we didn’t anticipate was the large increase in school and business orders during lunch. This was an unexpected surprise during our testing and proved that the deal works really well with school and business budgets for lunch parties and events.”

 

Gamm also reported that when the company ran the $3.99 lunch deal in test markets it did not cannibalize normal evening and weekend business, in fact, traffic increased during prime business periods.

 

“We’re excited about this promotion because the aggressive pricing always brings in new customers, and gives a good reason for existing customers to visit us more often.”
